From the very excellent Dreher-Pollan interview in the June 30 TAC:
I always saw myself as being to the Left of center, although whenever I write about food or nature, I feel like I am actually to the Right. Someone just sent me a blog post from the Tory Anarchist – you’re mentioned in it, too – that says, “You might call it the Wendell Berry-Michael Pollan Right.” I had not seen all those words strung together before, but it points to why this issue mixes up the usual categories – and it should.
This is very cool, since I also had the honor of being called out in the post in question, which in turn led me (and Lee) to say things which in turn led other people to say other things, and soon enough we had a full-fledged uprising coalition on our hands. If Michael Pollan is really as comfortable with cultural conservatism and market freedom as Rod gets him to sound, there may be hope for America yet.
